Merry Christmas and Thankyou – 2025

A Grateful 2025
It’s Christmas Eve yet again and several year since we published a wee Christmas blog. Whilst life keeps getting faster and the world crazier, Christmas always provides that space to reflect, take stock and be thankful.
We owe you, our customers an enormous thank you for your continued support. Whilst business as a family owned independent is never easy, we’ve so much to be grateful for as this year comes to a close. We’ve welcomed three new faces to the team in Shirley, Jonathan and another Chris, and added an LGV to our delivery fleet among other significant improvements in-store and online.
In an increasingly isolated society where technology often obscures and disconnects folk from reality we hope that our traditional, grounded approach to customer service is something you continue to embrace. ‘Shop Local’ isn’t just a marketing strapline but an investment in the wider community and your sanity – Whether that’s through the genuine expert advice of our sales team, the extra step by our delivery guys or Glen resolving an issue for you in Service and Returns there’s a face, a voice and a connection to you. Perhaps shopping locally is new to you, perhaps you always did. We hope it’s been and continues to be a revelation to you that local retailers are the equal of, and more often better than the national chains and soulless global giants. Stock at hand, personal service and the willingness of local independents to go that extra mile we earnestly give back in terms of local employment, sponsorship, charity and cohesion.
Looking Ahead To 2026 – 70 Years!
Next year we will celebrate 70 Years in business – a remarkable achievement by any measure. We’ll look to the past, celebrate the present and continue to invest in the future all with a sprinkling of fun and nostalgia!

Sure there’ll be challenges there’ll be challenges old and new but Dalzells will continue to ‘Deliver’ in every way to you our loyal and growing customer base and the wider community as we have done for the last 70 years!
