Markethill Wedding Fayre<\/span><\/strong><\/h1>\n

Last Wednesday the inaugural <\/span>Markethill Wedding Fayre<\/span><\/strong> was held in <\/span>The Old Courthouse<\/span><\/strong> in aid of <\/span>Newry Hospice<\/span><\/strong>. Organised by <\/span>Sara Dalzell (Sara Dalzell Photography)<\/span><\/strong> and <\/span>Sarah Jane Farrell (Vintage Violet Floral Designs<\/span><\/strong>),<\/span><\/span> the event was a huge success for both exhibitors and visitors alike, not forgetting Newry Hospice who are to receive all proceeds of the event.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dalzell’s of Markethill proudly took our place among a wide range of exhibitors from across Northern Ireland that included; Alexander’s of Markethill,\u00a0Sara Dalzell Photography,\u00a0Vintage Violet Floral Designs, It’s Vintage Darling,\u00a0Slimming World,\u00a0Tracey’s Cupcakes,\u00a0Beauty Afayre,\u00a0Blue Moon Videographer,\u00a0The Old barn,\u00a0Chocolate Blonde,\u00a0Donna Mullan Headwear,\u00a0Orchard Crafts,\u00a0Little Letters, Creative Designs, McCrum Carriages,\u00a0Bygone Cars and\u00a0‘I do ‘ Cars to name but a few!<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, the Wedding Fayre also included a <\/span>Wedding Fashion Show<\/strong><\/span> from a number of leading independent ladies and gents providers that included; Lily Pink, Payntor’s Groomsware and Elody Brides with make-up by Sak Designs and music by DJ Robbie C. A big thank you naturally goes out to all the models and those from The Old Courthouse who provided\u00a0complimentary\u00a0tea and coffee to guests. The event was followed by leading magazine publisher <\/span>Getting Married In Northern Ireland<\/span><\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Newry Hospice<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

Sara Dalzell,\u00a0granddaughter of our late founders Noel and Evelyn Dalzell\u00a0came up with the idea for the event having witnessed at first hand the extraordinary work carried out by Newry Hospice when <\/span>Noel<\/a><\/strong><\/span> was in their care late last year. Newry Hospice, a charitable\u00a0organisation\u00a0fulfills a gap in the local health care system not catered for fully by the NHS. <\/span><\/p>\n

Newry Hospice is funded by more than 66% through private donations, many of those who work there do so as\u00a0volunteers.\u00a0It is a service that can not be fully appreciated until one has witnessed their work and compassion at first hand. The funds raised from the Wedding Fayre will undoubtedly be put to excellent use. <\/span><\/p>\n

Newry Hospice was represented at the event by Hospice Volunteer Flo McCall, a former Deputy Principle of Markethill High School who had a range of Wedding Favours on display from the Hospice Shop in Newry. We look forward to\u00a0announcing\u00a0to you all soon just how much money was raised through the highly successful raffle which took place thanks to generous donations by exhibitors.<\/span><\/p>\n
