The Help \u00a0Scheme will <\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #808080;\">offer everyone aged 75+ and those eligible disabled persons practical help to switch one of their TVs to a digital service before switchover on <strong>October 24th<\/strong> later this year.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><strong>Who Is Eligible?<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Every eligible person in Northern Ireland will recieve a letter from the Switchover Help Scheme in the lead up to the switchover and it will offer them practical help to convert one of their TV&#8217;s to digital. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Some eligible people who take up the Help Scheme will pay <strong>\u00a340<\/strong> for the standard offer of assistance. For those eligible homes who also receive income related benefits the Help Scheme standard offer will be\u00a0<strong>Free<\/strong>. Other persons entitled to help include:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #808080;\">&#8211; Those aged 75 or over<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #808080;\">&#8211; Those who have lived in a care home for six months or more<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><span style=\"color: #808080;\">&#8211; Those receiving (or are entitled) certain disability benefits<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #808080;\">&#8211; Those registered as blind or partially sighted<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><strong>What Will You Receive?<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808080;\">The BBC has selected <strong>Carillion Energy Services<\/strong> as its supplier to deliver the Switchover Help Scheme in Northern Ireland.
