Alot of noise has been made in regards of Sharp’s new Quattron Aquos LED TV Series, but what’s it really all about?\u00a0 DR Jack Lewis, a PHD Neurobiology boffin at the University of London has stated that “Quattron is the first TV to display colour as your eyes see it”<\/em> bold words indeed. Let us explain a little.<\/p>\n

Our brains can create every colour in the rainbow, it does this by making comparisons by gradiating between two colours.\u00a0 The amount of red light to green and the strength of blue to yellow across the colour spectrum.\u00a0 This calculation as it were takes place across the back of the eye, in an area the fovea, the colour sensitive region at the centre of the retina.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The comparisons between blue\/yellow and red\/green are then combined, and provide our perception of colour.<\/p>\n
