Sharp

History

Sharp is another shining example of how the electronics revolution has spawned from Japan since the early 1900s.

Since its founding in 1912, Sharp Corporation has continuously opened up new areas of industry with its original products, from the "Ever-Sharp" mechanical pencils from which the company name was derived, to the commercialisation of the first Japanese-made radios and televisions, the world's first LCD electronic calculators, and a host of other products incorporating its state-of-the-art LCD technology. These products have contributed to the improvement of human living and the advancement of society as a whole. The environment surrounding the electronics industry is rapidly changing as information technology and network infrastructure advance, along with the acceleration of technological innovation. Companies world-wide are furiously competing to capture new markets. By once again returning to its business creed of "Sincerity and Creativity" and being an innovator of products and services, Sharp is aiming to become a one-of-a-kind company that creates 21st century lifestyles with electronics technology.

General Reputation

Sharp is a very good all rounder that holds it's own in all areas.

Reputation - White Goods

While Armagh Electrical.com does not stock Sharp white goods - the situation may change in the future on the strength of the brand's reputation and massive product range. Many people might think that Sharp is predominantly ambassadors of audio and visual equipment. Far from it. Sharp's slogan for its three-model Fridge Freezer range is: Uniquely Fresh Ideas, Beautifully Fresher Food. Fitting perfectly into your kitchen and lifestyle, Sharp's frost-free appliances have unique Plasmacluster technology and a hybrid cooling system designed to eliminate bacteria and strong odours, keeping your food fresh for much longer.

Reputation - Brown Goods

Little more needs to be said about Sharp's epic reputation in the Home Entertainment technology sector. The portfolio covers LCD TVs, Digital TV Recorders, Audio Systems, Home Cinema and Blu-ray Players. Among the LCD TV range is the Aquos series, featuring models from 19" to over 65". Sharp and Toshiba use the same LCD panels.

Sharp also has the AN-PR1500H home cinema rack system, the latest in its line of groundbreaking home entertainment products. Styled to look like a contemporary piece of furniture, the home cinema rack system comes fitted with an integrated, Up-Scaling DVD/CD player.

The AN-PR1500H is equipped with all the necessary features to work with High-Definition technology including an HDMI output and a DivX compatible function to offer image reproduction as stunning as the model itself. With high-quality 300W output and 2.1 front surround speakers, the AN-PR1500H packs an outstanding auditory punch. Sharp should be on your wavelength when it comes to Microwave Ovens with a line-up comprising the Solo, Microwaves and Combination units.

Green Credentials

Sharp works closely with the Energy Saving Trust to make most it's products carry the certification.

Warranties

Sharp appliances carry a 1 Year Parts and Labour Warranty.
