History

Miele is a German manufacturer of high quality Kitchen Appliances and commercial equipment. Filling out its abundant line-up of white goods are Washers & Dryers, Dishwashers, Fridges & Freezers, Vacuum Cleaners, Ovens & Microwaves, Steam Ovens, Hobs, Cooker Hoods, Coffee Machines and Smaller Appliances.

Founded in 1899 by Carl Miele and Reinhard Zinkann, Miele has always been a family-owned, family-run company. Since the beginning, the Miele motto has been "Immer Besser" or "Forever Better" and this philosophy is still reflected in the legendary quality and longevity of the products Miele employs around 15,000 staff world-wide (of which 11,000 are in Germany and 4,000 in other countries). The company produces over five million domestic appliances each year, with nearly 70% exported to foreign countries.

Adding value to the range is Miele's series of Integrated Steam Ovens, which also include Freestanding versions, together with Hobs and Cooker Hoods. Last - but not least in the Miele product range is its selection of Smaller Appliances.
